MSNBC Jeopardizes Dem Debate With Cheesy Chelsea Clinton Comment
Dear lord! Has Shuster been spending too much time with Chris Matthews or WHAT? This just plays into the far right who has always made unpleasant remarks about the former first daughter. While I think the level of ire here is a tad high all the way around (the comment was bone-headed but), I am weary of how the media has all tried to pretend no one notices the Bush Twins falling off barstools and doing drugs the world ’round yet has always had a soft spot for purveying nasty Chelsea comments when I’ve never seen the young woman display much more than class, intelligence, and a desire for privacy.
SEATTLE, Washington (AP) — A distasteful comment about Chelsea Clinton by an MSNBC anchor could imperil Sen. Hillary Clinton’s participation in future presidential debates on the network, a Clinton spokesman said.
In a conference call with reporters, Clinton communications director Howard Wolfson on Friday excoriated MSNBC’s David Shuster for suggesting the Clinton campaign had “pimped out” 27-year old Chelsea by having her place phone calls to celebrities and Democratic Party “superdelegates” on her mother’s behalf.
Wolfson called Shuster’s comment “beneath contempt” and disgusting.
“I, at this point, can’t envision a scenario where we would continue to engage in debates on that network,” he added.
MSNBC said Shuster, who apologized on the air for his comment, has been temporarily suspended from appearing on all NBC news broadcasts except to offer his apology.

Please. Is that what she is going o do whenever some one makes a comment about Chealsea or Bill Clinton. Is she going to refuse a state of the union adress, see what i mean, that is why no woman should president.

Being Canadian ,i’m disgusted with the way americans vote, even Asian Americans saying they will vote for the white woman.I’m disgusted.and ill not follow racist american elections
February 9th, 2008 | #
Senator Clinton should be disgusted with MSNBC. What David Schuster and Chris Matthews did was very wrong and way over the top. I am a black woman. I am disgusted on how the media is treating Senator Clinton. The media could not get any lower than the remark that was made about their daughter. The remark was truly sick. Senator Clinton has every right to be angry. I would hope that she boycott the network. someone needs to take a stand and put a stop to this madness of the media of being sexist.
February 9th, 2008 | #
Sen. Clinton has the right to be angry. But this play in the hand as a sign of weakness. What”s she going to do about all those late nite comedians talks shows or if the Iranians made this remark. Boycott them, she sounds like my girlfriend when she get”s mad not a President.
February 9th, 2008 | #
Not excusing the news media (and we all know they have issues …), but doesn’t this go hand-in-hand with being president? Will she boycott dealing with IRAN when their president says something offensive about the family? I thought politicos had thick skin …

Read Tuckers bio on MSNBC. It describes his show as a no-holds-barred conversation. I guess that is true unless Hillary and her gang are being discussed on it. lol MSNBC is just another Clinton lapdog. Woof! Woof!
February 9th, 2008 | #
It’s a weakness to be upset about this? What if the remark was directed to Obama and it was something derogatory to Blacks? Imagine the furor. Somehow distasteful remarks towards women is more acceptable than towards Blacks.
February 9th, 2008 | #
I’d laugh at Calvin’s statement as to why “no woman should president (sic),” but I’m beyond being ticked off at the blatant sexism in this campaign. If MSNBC’s Schuster had used the “pimping” expression with any candidate — especially a minority one — Schuster would be off the air. Period.
Perhaps, Calvin, being Canadian, you’re not aware that Hillary and Bill Clinton have been under the most intense scrutiny any candidate(s) should have to endure for almost 20 years. When Bill was in office, the Clintons kept Chelsea completely out of the spotlight, despite the constant, if not pathological, nitpicking of them.
And to Mickey: MSNBC a Clinton lapdog? Oh, please. The fawning over Obama is way over the top. I’m curious as to why Sen.Obama doesn’t embrace the fact that he’s bi-racial. I thought we were past looking at the color of someone’s skin. I guess we are, and for that, I’m thrilled.
I don’t think race is an issue; it’s sexism. I’m not at all worried about Hillary taking on anyone — the Republicans have spent millions and millions of dollars trying to destroy the woman’s credibility. Yet she still stands up to these sometimes idiotic criticisms — she can’t even wear pants without a huge media discussion. Let’s see, what was Sen. McCain wearing at his last interview? Was that an issue?
No one — male or female — takes kindly to their children being attacked. If you can find a candidate who’s endured more unfair and unsubstantiated baloney from the press, point ‘em out.
February 9th, 2008 | #
She has NO right to be upset by this… like others have said, this is politics and the kind of comment you should expect when you are in — or put your family in — the public eye. And the fact is, SHE brought her daughter into the mix by having her make the calls — so the kid and the process is fair game. As for the tone, well, “Pimp Out” is pretty common lexicon these days. If people of Hillary’s generation have a problem with the language society uses, perhaps they should have done better policing themselves and raising their kids. The great moral decline of America has happened because of the selfishness and under the pressure of the Baby Boomers.
February 9th, 2008 | #
I have to agree with Calvin Williams and I would say this about *any* of the currently viable candidates: if she is this thin-skinned on an issue like this, how will she react at a summit with say, Muslim leaders, whose patriarchal ways lead to small insults? Will she have the ability John Kennedy had to dismiss such things with humor and an eye toward finding common groundfor the good of all concerned?
Many people, I’m sure, will feel she is defending the honor of a family member, and that’s fine. But the President of the United States is expected to put the good of the country ahead of everything else and allowing oneself to be sidetracked by slights is something the president must not do.
Hillary gets an “F” on this one.
February 9th, 2008 | #
Hillary is only upset because its TRUE! “Pimping” is just a slang word for using someone for gain… and that’s exactly what’s going on here. Bill was unable to use his influence and negative speech against Obama… so now Hillary has shifted to using her daughter.
The Clintons want power… and will do whatever it takes to get it. They have no idea what it’s like to be a middle-class American… and if elected will only push their own selfish agenda.
If Hillary gets the Democratic nod, I’m voting Republican as the lesser Evil.

Shuster has been one of the more heads-up and entertaining reporters on MSNBC. I am disappointed at his having stepped over the line like this, but it seems like more of the Chirs Matthews type of anti-Clinton effect at work. Not necessary, not civil, not without consequence. We’ve already sworn off Matthews because of his one-sidedness in this campaign, after years of enjoying his presence. I’d let Shuster back on, after his sincere apologies especially. Keep him with Joe and Mika, away from Chris—only Keith seems able to be his own, delightful, original guy there.

We could make a case for Mr. Obama being the PImp. How many women have we seen standing behind him in these last few weeks.Oprah, Shirver, Kennedy, McCaskill, Sebelius, and the list goes on and on. Trying to get the womens vote he has been pimping them on stage for us all to see. Where are all the men? Mr. Kennedy who says we need change. Mr. Kennedy you have been in the politics for as long as i can remember maybe we should vote you out as well. It is about Change right?
February 9th, 2008 | #
Can anyone explain why the Clinton’s have deemed Chelsea “off-limits” from press interaction, yet feel that they should be able to use her as part of the political campaign? Are we worried about keeping one more person “on message?” I have no problem at all with the Clintons’ interest in keeping their daughter’s life private…but if they truly believe that, they shouldn’t be using her as a campaign tool. This anger coming down from the Matriarch seems a little much, considering the near common usage of the term. I guess someone needs to apologize to Her Majesty for not explaining terms we Commoners use. Sheesh…
February 9th, 2008 | #
Is this someone we want for President of the United States of America? She hears a comment she doesn’t like so she decides not to do her job? Because her feelings were hurt? I think NOT! Get over it Hilary. You are applying for a job FOR THE PEOPLE, you don’t get the luxury of choices like that.
February 9th, 2008 | #
While the comment may have been off-color for some, I believe that the majority of us didn’t see it as a biased comment. You would think that Fox broadcast the comment the way the Clinton machine has responded. It is incredible to think that the Clinton camp would be allowed a free pass at decrying the free speech of the media. I hope she does miss the MSNBC debate in protest so we can hear more from Obama and his vision of the future. This episode has proven to me that the Clinton machine has too much power, and is more concerned about themselves than the country.
February 9th, 2008 | #
Chelsea Clinton has never been anything but a polite private well bred young lady. Anyone including her in their need to “Clinton Bash” as all MSNBC commentators are compelled to do should be fired not suspended.
Last week the drooling, bombastic Chris Mathews made the following remark during a President Clinton bashing session, “Bill Clinton always gets in trouble when he inserts himself” that isn’t word for word but you get the idea “Wink Wink”
I will admit I am voting for Hiliary, for her experience. I would not vote for Obama because of his lack of it. But I am so sick of listening to these MSNBC fools drivel over the Inspirational Obama, when does he start getting grilled about his past, his mistakes, and his programs. Being a great speaker doesn’ t qualify you to be President but according to Joe Scarboough, the elitist and derisive host of Morning Joe, he is absolutely bowled over by how Obama strides onto the stage, Whoopie, what will he do to fix the ecomomy, give me th facts nto your inspiration.
THIS NETWORK IS A JOKE, SOMEONE GET CHRIS MATHEWS A TOWEL TO WIPE HIS CHIN.
February 9th, 2008 | #
For goodness sake…pimped out doesn’t mean prostituting in the modern world. I suppose Hillary is looking for another excuse to cry in public…it worked wonders for her after Iowa.
February 9th, 2008 | #
MSNBC is owned by General Electric, you know, the company that used the Hudson River as a landfill for their PCBs, and now spending billions fighting the responsibility of cleaning it up? Think they want a Democrat in? David Schuster and Chris “spitter” Matthews are just helmet headed celebrities of the moment. Just a matter of time before their true selves are revealed and exploited by Time Warner’s reality news. You want real news? Go to the internet, You want entertainment? Rent a dvd.
If Hillary boycotts MSNBC I will have more respect in her ability to stick to the issues, that’s unique! Calvin Williams…mind your own business and stick to TMZ.

I find it so amazing that when the Clintons protect their daughter they are treated like some of the comments above…
She is their daughter, they should be hurt by the comments, she has always showed grace, loyalty, kindness and is a class act.
Funny how the right wing folks are first to talk about “protecting the child” and are so full of sh**!!! when they try to seem so godly…but when Hillary as mother protects her daughter who has never done anything to be disrespected this way they claim they are being babies about not wanting to attend the debate…
I saw a commercial with OBAMA and his daughters actually spoke in commercial….and if some claimed he was pimping them out they would claim rascism and this would be on the front page….
Say what you will about the Clintons, but they raised a AMAZING daughter….these same critics seem to not notice that the BUSH’S that are so “CHRISTIAN” have raised trash.
February 9th, 2008 | #
I’d normally say that the Clinton campaign needs to buck up and ignore it, but that would usually be the case if the remark was made by the opposition camp. In this case, however, it is made by a major network, one who we assume would be a bit more objective. MSNBC has been blatantly anti-Clinton and pro-Obama in it’s coverage and quite frankly I would support her campaign’s decision to not participate in the debates if that’s what they decide. Gone should be the days when political candidates should have to salivate at the feet of the MSM, especially when they pull the kind of crap that Schuster, Mathews, Williams, Russert, and others are doing.
February 9th, 2008 | #
TRASH…love it! You have to wonder, do the Bush daughters lay awake at night and think, “I wish Daddy didn’t kill all those thousands of people. God I know it’s not nice but at least they’re poor.” Let’s see what karma does during Dad’s existence.
February 9th, 2008 | #
From what I saw, MSNBC was extremely biased toward Clinton. The other night they had a Clinton special that was an hour long that did nothing but praise her majesty. Did they give Obama the same type of FREE exposure? Of course not!
Now as far as the debate, she needed an excuse, an excuse NOT to debate Obama, now that she has some money in her campaign, after publicly announcing that she had to “LOAN” her campaign $5 million dollars and then begged Obama to have a debate and now SHE is backing out? OH F’IN Please!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Get over it!!!!!!
If she wanted to keep Chelsea shielded then she shouldn’t have brought her into the campaign. By the way, the attack wasn’t on Chelsea, the attack was on the Clinton campaign for USING Chelsea. And Chris Matthews’ comment about Hillary building her political career based on her name due to being Bill’s wife, was SPOT on. If you remove her husband the woman has NO experience on her own. And by the way, someone stated that the Obama camp is “pimping out” Oprah, Kennedy etc., I 100% AGREE with that statement, but I don’t see ANYONE from the campaign getting upset when people use that type of terminology, Why you might ask? Because they KNOW that is how the younger (than baby boomers) talk.
I have nothing against Hillary being a woman, I do however have a problem with THIS woman being president. The US in my opinion IS ready for a female president, just NOT this woman. I would say someone with REAL experience like Janet Napolitano. She is someone who has developed her OWN true experience on her OWN.
I am not sexist, but I will be accused of it because I do not support a Clinton presidency. The 1st Clinton presidency brought us a disaster with Bush II. One example would be NAFTA, which the guidelines were drawn up during Bush I and signed by Bill Clinton. This agreement has been a disaster for the US, yet everyone gives Clinton a free ride on this one.
Nobody is making Hillary accountable for her role in the Iraq debacle except for Obama. He is right! Everyone KNEW just by reading the title what that resolution meant, “Authorization to Use Military Force in Iraq”. She VOTED for this mess WITHOUT even reading the Intelligence Reports. This show to me and MILLIONS of other Americans that she has POOR judgment!!!!!!!!!
February 9th, 2008 | #
One final note…..if she is going to play VICTIM everytime it appears that she is going to get her butt kicked, we don’t need her as president. There are no TIME-OUTS in the presidency.

MSNBC STOP BEING A NEWS NETWORK A LONG TIME AGO! THEY ARE SO BUSY BEATING UP THE CLINTONS, MAYBE IF THEY WERE A NEWS NETWORK THAT LOOKED AT THE WORLD NEWS, NOT JUST POLTICAL NEWS THE WOLD SEE THAT THERE IS MAJOR UNREST IN KENYA. WE KNOW THAT OBAMA’S FATHER IS FROM KENYA. WE KNOW THAT OPRAH HAS A SCHOOL IN AFRICA. SHOULD WE BE CONCERN THAT OPRAH HAS HAD A AGGRESSIVE INVOLVEMENT WITH OBAMA’S CAMPAIN, AND BOTH HAVE SUCH STRONG TIES TO THAT PART OF THE WORLD. YES, HE WANTS OUT OF THE MIDDLE EAST RIGHT AWAY. QUESTION; SHOULD BE IS IT OUT WITH THE MIDDLE EAST AND BEFORE WE KNOW IT ARE WE SENDING TROOPS INTO AFRICA OR THAT WE MIGHT END UP IN A WAR IN AFRICA. QUESTION; HAS OBAMA RECEIVED ANY MONEY FROM AFRICA FOR HIS CAMPAIGN.

While I agree that perhaps he could have chosen a differnt word, he was 100% right. Hillary has had no problems using Chelsea to get votes. For 8 years in the White House, both she and Bill were very careful to keep her out of the spotlight as much as possible and now here she is using her own daughter to win. As a reporter, Shuster should have thought a bit before using ‘pimping’ however.
If Hillary is going to ‘cry’ when things don’t go her way (Iowa and er, she didn’t even cry over the Monica thing) or act like she’s being picked on when reporters make negative comments about her, how in the world can we trust her to run the country?
I’m a white woman who has never thought much of Hillary and never had any plans to vote for her and still don’t. She knows how to play the game and plays it well. When tears don’t work, play the ‘oh, they’re picking on me, see how much of a bully Obama is” trick. THIS is who women want representing them in the White House? Really???

It’s a slang term in the modern world…Fine…Does that mean DS can now call Obama “my n***” or talk about Hillary in the same terms Imus used?
There are some types of language that should not be used in a professional setting, period. To suggest that the Clintons have no right to be upset is to ask them to not care about their daughter.
February 9th, 2008 | #
the comment is truly distasteful and the anchor was rightfully suspended but the Billary camp is beyond being silly by “threatening” not to participate in the debates. Does anybody tyly believe they want to leave the show all to Obama. Billary’s response is just another attempt to “tear-up” in public and get, throught pity, the votes they cannot get through their stands on the issues. Also, the “threat” is so utterly arrogant it’s laughable.
February 9th, 2008 | #
I have actually stopped watching MSNBC - all of those men who call themselves reporters/journalists are so threatened by a smart, strong woman (Hillary) that it has affected their reporting. They take every possible opportunity to “report’ the negative about her that it has become distasteful — and they criticize FOX new, they are just as bad if not worse.

Those types of comments coming from the News media are inapropriate regardless of who they are directed! Seems to me there have been a few radio etc celebs that got in big trouble for saying certain statements. What makes this any differant! Actually it is a semi-racist remark… Pimp… The guy is out of line… And as for some of the anti Hillary remarks posted here… Give me a break…. How would you like your daughter called a pimp for supporting you!!!
February 9th, 2008 | #
Shuster should be penalized not because of a sexist comment but because this reveals the lack of journalistic integrity at msnbc. They are so obviously pro obama that its sickening. If any one watches tucker (where he can indugle in nothing but clinton bashing) or Chris matthews (where its even amazing his guests can get a word in with all his interrupting and shouting !), its perfectly obvious that they have disdain for CLinton and adulation for Obama.
They remind me of Fox news network and the republicans. Its a shame that to get real unbiased news you have only one choice — to turn to the internet or to a lesser degree to NPR
BTW, I voted for Obama this primaries — so it has nothing to do with candidate affiliation.
February 9th, 2008 | #
What’s missing in the original article and most of the subsequent points made here is the glaring fact that the children of pretty much every candidate out there stump for their politician parents. So why is it this awful thing when Hillary Clinton’s daughter campaigns for her? The main focus should be on the total lack of perspective by an MSNBC representative. The negative characterization that singles out Chelsea Clinton and the Clintons is a gross misrepresentation based on the facts. This kind of gross misrepresentation in the media - from both right and left, representations that not only distort, but wholly ignore the facts - is a real problem. How can we as the public expect to be informed? We’re merely being influenced based on the lies and prejudice stemming from the emotional positions of the talking heads. We need these media outlets to help us make the best choice for our country, based on facts and reason. The misrepresentations we’re being fed instead are counter to what’s best for us as a nation, and MSNBC’s allowing a forum for its participation in this sort of thing is disgusting (I don’t limit this to MSNBC alone, however - FOX and CNN are both guilty of this sort of thing as well).

The women on this message board seem to be offended by these comments, but the men don’t have a problem with it.

Give me a break. ou are going to use your family to garner votes, then you have to expect that their participation is going to come under scrutiny. So he used the word “pimp” - that is exactly how Hillary was using her daughter. On the one hand, the Clinton’s state that Chelsea is “off limits” - no interviews, etc. (which is fine) but then she should not be a part of the campaign. The Clintons, as usual, want to have it both ways and then when castigated for it in colorful language, they cry foul. Just another reason why people with any brains will not pull the lever for her.

MSNBC should apologize but get off your hugh horse lady you have personally done way worse than make a bad comment to disgrace our great land. The women on “The View” all stated quite clearly on tv that they had each been called by Chelsea Clinton who then asked for their votes for her mother….or do we suppose that, once again the truth is being squashed by the Clinton Machine.

I know it Black History Month, but could some one at MSNBC and CNN start teating OBAMA like a real cand and a movie star who just debuted in his first leading role (since he has no other experience to speak of). I am alive today because Bill Clinton signed a bill to protect women from being denied treatement of breast cancer and female cancer if their uninsured. Let me tell you I was insured going in. My husband worked for a hospital and when I went to a better hospital for treatment and they were not getting the money, they fired him two days after his FMLA ran out while I was still going thru treatment. That law allowed my hospital to treat me for free. I have not forgot that loyalty or service by the Clintons in terms of health care. We almost lost our home when I was Ill. HIllary would keep that from happening. How many of you have mothers, sisters, grandmothers who have had female cancer? Have you forgotten them. I could talk all day on what they have done for minority rights too, but many have fogotten that for a no body just because of his race. Shame on you CNN and MSNBC, neither of you have been running a clean coverage of this race, so CNN don’t just talk about MSNBC. When we see coverage about experience and equal positive air time for Hillary, when it to late and we have another unqualified junior sentaor in the office of the presidency. You need to treat both cands in regards to their accomplisments and not their race and gender.

“I am a mother first and a candidate second, and I found the remarks incredibly offensive,” Clinton said. “I can take whatever comes my way, that’s part of what I signed up for as a candidate, as an office holder. But I think that there’s been a troubling pattern of comments and behavior that has to be held accountable. So I have sent a letter to the head of NBC expressing the deep offense that I took and pointing out what has been a troubling pattern of demeaning treatment and I would expect appropriate action to be taken.”
1. For Clinton to group Schuster’s very offensive comment in with a political opportunity to attack other statements is really to share in his guilt. By not simply responding ONLY to what he said, she obviously has seen an opportunity to capitalize on the moment. What difference is there in his accusation and her exploitation of the moment? I see none - and feel very sad for her daughter who has been made a political pawn.
2. For Clinton to call for Schuster’s essential ouster is hypocritical at best and dishonest at least. Did she encourage votes for her husband’s impeachment?
Once again, the willingness to do anything to win looks very, very ugly in Hillary.

Most commentors on this page are definitely missing the point. Every candidate that has had a family member verbally attacked has responded. Don’t think for a moment if Obama or McCain had a family member attacked that they would not respond. Can you imagine if they yelled during an Obama speech shine my shoes or you are pimping you kids out what backlash there would be. We have to remember the Clintons helped this nation to the best place it has been in for decades and they could help us again. Why the hatred for women and Hillary? Men need to take a good long look at their comments and women too if you feel you can honestly say you don’t have a problem with a female president. There is so much female-hating banter going on that it is scary. It is not okay to be a racist and it is not okay to be sexist. They are both hateful and detrimental to our society, Hillary did the right thing by bringing MSNBC to be responsible. If Don Imus can get busted for his comments on the air for being racist, so should MSNBC for this hateful comment. This comment was not journalistic in any manner. Want to get personal MSNBC, then get out of news and journalism and become another FOX.
February 9th, 2008 | #
I’m sorry people you all are missing the point of the argument. The issue is that the comment was made about Clinton’s daughter by the same network that she may debate on. MSNBC is just the forum of the debate. I do not blame her, I would not show up either. Clinton is not refusing to debate, she is refusing to give ratings to the network that made those disgusting comments to her daughter. Lets stay focused here! And to suggest that her not showing up would mean she is a weak leader is ridiculous. I happen to be African-American, and someone could use that same argument for those who refused to ride the bus in Montgomery in the 50s. Were they weak for not taking the bus and walking? To me it is an act of leadership to not support a brand that is doing such things.

msnbc has shown a particular pattern of misogyny to the point that hillary may pull out of their debate. (which i hope she does) cnn has their own bias but they’re a little more slick, they just ignore anything good coming out of hillarys campaign, and re-spin it in terms of what it means for obama.
if we’re really at a place where women don’t need to consider their vote for a woman with their own womanhood in mind…the way the media is acting is certainly making us realize that if it’s okay to demean our first female candidate for president based on her gender, the rest of us (women) dont have a shot in hell.
and those women who don’t think this matters at all….it won’t matter until we elect a female president in spite of what these misogynistic boneheads do.
but right now, women, voting for another women, IS important. right now as women, we can be divided and conquered. and that’s always been our weak point, hasn’t it? that we can’t put aside petty shit and get the team agenda forward?
men have always been able to rally around something that may not be their explicit desire, but they can see the forest through the trees, and are able to coalesce to get toward a certain end goal.
women, need to be more vocal in condemning misogynistic speech and bias, especially right now, i’ve never quite experienced this like this, in my lifetime, where talking heads everywhere think it’s a-ok to insult and undermine a woman like this.
it reminds me of the clip i saw of barbera walters first appearence as a network news anchor, and the horrific way she was treated on air.
right now it seems as though nothing has changed…

Wouldn’t it be nice to have an impartial media in this country? Regardless of my voting preferences, it’s pretty obvious to me that MSNBC is biased against Hillary, and they are cheerleaders for Obama. Every single show in that network, with the exception of the Dan Abrams show, Bill Clinton gets criticized, but they never say anything about Obama’s wife innappropriate comments, which have happened quite often throughout Obama’s campaign. I’ve just had it with those arrogant talking heads on TV, trying to persuade people’s opinions.
February 9th, 2008 | #
Hillary SHOULD be mad about this. I’m a Republican and I’m even mad about the sexist and bias reporting going on against Hillary. Obama can say and do anything he wants and no one askes him any questions. But it seems to be okay to makeup offensive remarks about women candidates’ kids. Chelesa was doing what all candidate kids do - give speeches, make phone calls, etc. And for the term “pimping” - no, it’s NOT okay to use that term. Would they use the term “N*****” on TV? Well, it’s not okay to use the term “pimping” either.
February 9th, 2008 | #
Misogyny ?? This has nothing to do with Men or Women or Women or Men, this has to do with “Language” and there’s nothing wrong with the word “pimp” especially when we’re a;; being “pimped” by whomever we’re working for. We’re all a slave to someone else’s profit and we’re all prostituting ourselves in our own way. Get over it and stop this idiocy. What shuster did was a big favor. Getting this debate out on the streets and into the gutter of life.
For a sense of humor see what some enterprising people are doing with the domain name http://www.PimpChelsea.com and how they’re trying to sell PimpChelsea.Com for a $100,000.00 only to turn around and give the money back to the ChildrensCancerFoundation.org . Too funny, or whaaaaa ?? !!

This has nothing AT ALL to do with the Clintons “wanting to protect their own daughter.” Call it cynicism, but I think they know exactly what they’re doing here…taking advantage of Chelsea’s clean reputation to try to garner votes. Calling superdelegates? Elected officials and major political icons? Personally, I’d be curious to hear the thoughts of some of these superdelegates receiving those calls. God forbid anyone dare to call things as they seem them (i.e. being pimped out)!
Bottom line…this is a political campaign. Hillary CHOSE to put herself AND her daughter (well…and her husband, although that’s anothe story) in the public spotlight in her quest for the presidency. With that decision made, she can’t throw a temper tantrum now.
Anyone interested in discussing the campaign financing? Given the family’s overseas income, anyone want to comment on potential (illegal) foreign influence, hmmmm?

I keep hearing Sen. Clinton state that she will “work for change.” Well, as a long standing member of the working class, I’m tired of working for change. A decent living wage will do. I don’t need anyone explaining how I need to make myself more marketable. It seems that I’ve made myself over qualified for most positions. It’s sad when one earns too many degrees and have to pay exhorbitant student loan payments on the crappy salary that Corporate America distributes. I doubt if that will change.
I hope she decides to boycott all future debates; I’m tired of hearing her lie.

Conversely, when Senator Obama compared himself to the inspirational leader Martin Luther King - who had his own documented history or indiscretion like Bill Clinton - and Senator Clinton pointed out that it took leadership from President Lyndon Johnson to implement King’s vision into law . . . the Obama camp was outraged . . “What racist blasphemy.” From here it’s pretty obvious where all the whining babies are, and it ain’t the baby boomers. It’s the spoiled brats who are about to - OUCH - feel their first real recession after 8 years of profligate military spending and international adventure cheered on by Troglodytes like Chris Matthews.

For those who feel that Obama has done nothing for the state of Illinois, I say this…He did much better in the Illinois primary than Clinton did in the N.Y. primary. If you’ve never lived in IL, please share your uninformed comments with other uninformed voters. As for the good citizens of IL, GREAT JOB!!!
