Misreading Howard Dean
When Wolf Blitzer interviewed DNC chairman Howard Dean the other day, CNN managed to report it as Dean demanding an answer from all the superdelegates NOW about which candidate - Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama - they want.
The problem is, Howard actually said what he has before, that by early in June (with most if not all the primaries over) he needs to know so the party can line up behind the presumed winner accordingly (the convention itself is pretty late in the game).
Though the mistake was CNN’s and not Dean’s, Dean’s sure taking a hit from it in comments. Also a lot of folks still complaining about Florida and Michigan votes (which I still don’t see how can be counted when not all candidates were allowed on the ballots because of the issue of the timing of their primaries).
