As a onetime resident of the great state of Kentucky let me announce my pride in the Kentucky Wildcats for their great achievement in advancing to the NCAA Championship Game.
I have fond memories of attending Wildcat games as one of their biggest fans as a young man. I courted my wife on the Kentucky campus and we shared our first kiss on the cheek in the bleachers following a Wildcat win. I still treasure those dear dear memories as a Wildcat fan.
Let me finish by recalling the words from that famous song, O beautiful, for spacious skies, for amber waves of grain. For purple mountains majesty, above the fruited plains.
