Romney Campaign: Wishful Tweeting

In probably one of the best examples of the pathetic and desperate workings of the Romney campaign, Ryan Williams, the campaign spokesman tweeted this picture of Obama’s Ohio rally Saturday,

with the message,

“Not the overflow crowd he promised.”

There are a couple of issues with this picture; not that I would ever suggest Romney’s campaign is dishonest mind you, but you can judge for yourself.

These are pictures of the same rally posted by Yahoo News and USA Today:

One could wonder when Mr. Williams’ picture was taken, or for the truly cynical – whether his picture is even from the Obama rally, since Williams is obviously ethically challenged.

In all fairness, it must be hard in the face of the President’s popularity, when Williams’ boss draws a “crowd” more like this (from N.Y. Mag):

Mittens rented out Ford Field to speak to a turnout of 1200 businessmen. If that doesn’t scream fiscal responsibility, I don’t know what does.

Unfortunately for Romney’s campaign, nobody had to fake this picture.
