Republicans Bring Back McCarthyism in Wisconsin

Incredible, but true. Eric Hovde, the GOP candidate for the seat once held by Joseph McCarthy, is claiming his Democratic opponent is a communist. On Democratic Senatorial candidate Tammy Baldwin of Wisconsin, Hovde said:

I fundamentally disagree with Tammy on almost everything. She has a more liberal voting record than almost anybody in Congress. Her philosophy has its roots in Marxism, communism, socialism, extreme liberalism—she calls it progressivism—versus mine, which is rooted in free-market conservatism.

The radical right has really lost it’s marbles. They throw out insults like a patient with Turrets Syndrome … “Communist, Marxist, Socialist!” Baldwin is an openly gay candidate – how long before we hear the “D-word” from Hovde?
