Romney’s Weak Attempt to Divert Attention From His Record At Bain Capital

So last Thursday Romney holds a press conference in front of the bankrupt Solyndra plant in a very weak attempt to divert attention from the President’s attacks on Romney’s record as corporate raider and destroyer of middle-class jobs.

Romney at Solyndra: Did I do this one? I've bankrupted so many companies, I lost count.

How many things can we find wrong with this?

  1. Romney: I like firing peopleDuring Romney’s career at Bain, he wrote the book on loading up companies with debt, stealing the borrowed money for Bain and Romney’s offshore bank accounts, and then bankrupting the companies. If anything, standing in front of a bankrupt company just emphasizes his record at Bain, his op-ed to “Let Detroit Go Bankrupt”, and his suggestion to let home foreclosures continue and have investors buy-up the houses. Romney is the king of bankruptcy. He made his living off of the pain he inflicted on hard-working Americans. Profits over People was/is his policy. And now he wants to unleash his corporate beliefs on America.
  2. The Romney campaign actually thinks this is a victory for them. That’s just stupid logic.
  3. Once again, where are your supporters?!! Romney holds these big news conferences and no one shows except the media, and they’re forced to attend. Obama holds a press conference and loads of his adoring fans gather to show their support. Mitt, Inc. has no fans.

Romney may as well hold his press conferences in a place that reflects the public’s interest …

Romney's press conferences should be in a place that reflects the public's interest in him
