On the Scale of Loathsome Actions, which runs 1-10, 10 being the most Republican loathsome, Conservatives normally fall between 8 and 10 consistently. Lately however, the GOP is scoring off the charts. The latest apalling action comes from Missouri idiot and lawmaker John McCaherty.
According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, McCaherty’s August 27, fundraiser:
Political Buffoon McCaherty fondles his weapon
“…will feature the raffle of an AR-15 rifle…the same model as one allegedly used in last week’s shooting at a Colorado movie theater that left 12 dead and 58 injured.”
Fired Up! Missouri has posted an email apparently sent by McCaherty’s campaign this afternoon in response to the raffle attention.
In the email, McCaherty says that he plans to ignore media questions about the event and urges his supporters to do the same.
“(T)he less attention we give them the quicker they move on to the next story,” the email reads. “The families affected do not need the media beating them up, or drawing out the story anymore. So please….Do not answer any questions about the event at all.”
And this fool, James Taranto, who writes for The Wall Street Journal,
is exhalted by something called “the Macho Response” (yeah, I laughed too) as [thinking] ” like a guy who got his G.E.D. and got out (which is what he is) so he doesn’t do all those convoluted stunts other columnists try, attempting to sound smart…”
You don’t say. Anyway, he tweeted this about the Colorado shooting:
Classy. I can guarantee you, “convoluted stunts” wouldn’t help this guy; when you’re ignorant, you’re ignorant. Evidently, the GOP has sewn up the big dumb guy voting bloc.
