An Olympic Champion

gabby douglas first african-american gold medalist in the women's individual all-around gymnastics competitionCongratulations to Gabby Douglas, the first African-American to win a gold medal in the women’s individual all-around gymnastics competition.

The competition was held today in London where Gabby finished less than three tenths of a point ahead of Russia’s best all-around competitor. At only 4 foot 11 inches and 90 pounds, Gabby’s all heart and determination. And soooo fun to watch.

Soon the first African-American gold medalist in her competition will meet the first African-American family in the White House. Can’t wait to see the pics of her with Sasha and Malia.
