Jon Huntsman, previously a Republican candidate for President, and fellow Mormon, said it best when he assailed Mitt Romney for “leading from behind.” Huntsman was so offended by Romney’s change of positions that he made a commercial to illustrate his point.
Now that the Republican primary is over, and we approach the general election, we see the fundamental flaw in Romney’s “flip-flopping” even more clearly.
The internet is repleat with documentation of Romney’s changes in position. After the debate, one source documented 27 myths that Romney perpetuated in the span of 28 minutes. Then there are these videos, that ask the questions “Who Are You” and “For What Do You Really Stand?”
2. Change in position on the Palestinian Culture.
3. Romney has changed his position on:
- The Stimulus
- Abortion
- Ronald Reagan principles
- Health care,
- Illegal aliens
- Climate change
- Unions
- Taxes
- Assault weapons
- TARP
- Auto industry bail out
This video also confirms these flips.

If Romney is leading in some polls it must be because he is espousing positions that are more in keeping with those of President Obama. The truth is that is it hard to know where Romney stands. The only thing clear is that he is willing to say anything, and do anything, that he perceives will help him get elected.
No wonder it is difficult for President Obama to prepare for debates with Romney. He is unsure about which Romney he’ll meet Tuesday night.
