Labor Day: Celebrating Unions’ Uplifting the American Worker

The Goal Of Unions Is And Always Has Been To Better The Standards Of Life For Wage Earners  The TRUE meaning of Labor Day has been hijacked like every other American holiday and demurred to the official weekend closing the summer break with the introduction to a new school year. – Read the full article

Mr. Obama, Tear Down the Private Profit Prisons

“…men who so uneasily tolerate superiors patiently suffer a master, and show themselves proud and servile at the same time.” –Alexis de Tocqueville, Democracy in America In 2007, a teenager in a depressed county of Northeastern Pennsylvania, recently bereft of its industrial and coal mining jobs, was sentenced to 3 months in juvenile detention.  – Read the full article

Happy Labor Day, America

Today is Labor Day.  It can be a challenge to remember today’s purpose, because the accomplishments of the labor movement are marked by what doesn’t happen.  But it’s important to reflect on the contours of your life to remember the historical importance of this day and the people who sacrificed their lives to make it possible.  – Read the full article

Walker win victory for redistribution of wealth upward

Bernie Sanders was on-the-money (pun intended) with his assessment of the Walker victory in Wisconsin: There is an aggressiveness out there among the ruling class of this country, among the billionaires who are saying: “You know what? Ya, we got a whole lot now, but we want even more. – Read the full article

MSM: There they go again

Walker won his recall election, yes that’s true. Walker won by 7 points; 53% to 46%. Which means the electorate is nearly evenly split. But the corporate, mainstream media is treating it like it was a landslide. Walker’s allies as dirty as ever

I’ve seen this story in the liberal/progressive blogosphere but took the time to delve into it a little further. It appears that Scott Walker’s allies, in a desperate attempt to attack all enemies of the crooked Walker, sent out an anti-teacher flyer for the Janesville School District that names teachers who signed recall petitions and lists their salaries, as well. – Read the full article

Scott Walker’s Deer Czar Debacle

Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker has hired Dr. James Kroll to be his White-Tailed Deer trustee, otherwise known as the Wisconsin Deer Czar.  Of course being appointed by Scott Walker is a leading indicator that Dr. Kroll is a right wing freakazoid, and sure enough Kroll’s ramblings prove that point nicely. – Read the full article
